Created / Published Coloniae : Opera & impe[n]sa Ioa[n]nis Soteris, anno 1528 mense Augusto. Hamnet URL http://shakespeare.folger.edu/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?BBID=88949 Dimensions 161 x 94 x 50 mm Covering Material Dark brown calfskin, superbly rebacked with brown calfskin. Sewing Sewn on three tanned leather supports laced through the oak wood boards. Headbands Stuck-on; sewn with line thread through a vellum support. End Papers New; two blank flyleaves with loose folded guards. Closures Evidence of two fore-edge clasps, hinging from the front cover and catching on the back. Decorative Description The covers are blind stamped with panel stamps. The front cover has a supporter-type Rose panel (Oldham, Blind panels of English binders, plate XXXIX, RO. 13) with the initials I N (Julian Notary). The back cover is stamped with a heraldic panel (Oldham, Blind panels of English binders, plate XXII, HE. 30).
